Engage SNC is a joint company created for the Architect Engineer (AE) contract with fusion for Energy (F4E – the European Union’s organisation for Europe’s contribution to ITER)

The Architect Engineer will assist the F4E during the entire construction process, from the detailed design plans to project completion and sign-off, as regards the ITER buildings, the site infrastructures and power supply distribution.

Building and infrastructure

. Foot print 21 000 m² of concrete building + 29 000 m² of steel building

. 276 377 m³ of concrete (full NI of NPP) and 14 500 Tons of structural steel

Construction

. Supervision of Contractors work on site in order to ensure the performances of the systems and equipment are reached in compliance with the technical specifications of the Design.

. Control on and off site to ensure compliance of buildings and systems construction with specifications. Engage also provide opinion and expertise in its technical disciplines across the site.

HSE

Engage has a legal obligation as an employer for the organization of safety for its own team and implement related actions to challenge it. As Architect Engineer, Engage follows in collaboration with HSPC the general safety level of F4E’s contractors and has a duty of alert in case of HSE deviation.

In parallel, ENGAGE through F4E delegation is responsible of all environmental aspects on the worksite and the management of the housekeeping for F4E’s Contractors and on area under F4E coordination.

Design

. Deliver technical solutions in line with client requirements and project design intent.

. Provide technical support to clients and contractors throughout the design phase.

. Technical supervision of Contractor design activities and deliverables.

. Technical support throughout post-design phases to ensure design intent is maintained and compliance is ensure at all stages.

Quality

. Ensure that the need of the client is respected

. Quality Support of Tender Batches

. Contractors Documentation Review (QP, PQ, CP, NCR, etc)

. Monitor performance of Contractor’s Quality System (audits)

. Establishing, implementing and updating quality procedures and applicable docs

Nuclear Safety

. Ensure compliance with the Nuclear Safety Authority (ASN) regulations.

. Ensure the confinement of radioactive material

. Limit the external exposure to ionizing radiation

Test and commissioning

. Engage is involved in three different activities related to test and commissioning activities:

. Supervision of T&C activities done by the TBs on building services

. Supervision of qualification tests for PIC components.

. Realization of commissioning.

PMO

. The teams deal with the project topics on a delimited scope of work: high level planning, staffing plan, workload and change management, risk and claim analysis, contract and revenue management.

. The PMO teams monitor, control and plan the expenses of the project to keep project costs within the available budget.

. Produce and maintain the Engage internal project risk management procedure.

. Manage the production archiving and data transmission between all the project stakeholders and ensure the production of the teams is achieved in respects with the applicable norms, codes and standards.

. Manage all access to the site in compliance with Iter Organization’s rules.

HR

-HR Strategy management according to the Iter Project requirements and changes.

. Change management 

. The Engage Mentoring program  allows people to communicate better transversally.

Planning/SPC

. Manage the Coordination and Planning of a building or a group of buildings in all trades.

. Elaborate and propose the strategy of coordination to all stakeholders top reach agreement with all parties (Owner, Engineer, Safety, Coordination, Contractors).

. Deal with the consequences of coordination (Change of general planning, allotment, technical interface).

. Implement and manage the areas and services for Contractors and General use.

.Evaluate potential worksite coordination risks and propose solutions.

Project management

. Ensure the delivery of the works, Areas, buildings defined as their scope of works, including Health and Safety, Planning, contract, Design, Nuclear Safety, Configuration, Integration, Quality and Construction.

. Ensure their actions with the Engage’s strategic objectives defined within our continuous improvement policy.

.Coordinate their team’s activities on technical, contractual and quality aspects.
